Work that inspires you?

Finding work that inspires you!

“Choose a job you love,
and you will never have to work a day in your life”

Do you believe you’ve found the type of work that allows you to use your talents in ways that interest and inspires you?  Unfortunately, most people would say they haven’t.  Fortunately, there are resources available to help you find work that inspires you!  O*NET Online, a tool made available by the U. S. Department of Labor is one of those resources.

O*NET contains a database of occupational information and interactive applications.  These resources allow you to clarify your interest in different work related activities, identify occupations that match your interest, and obtain information on requirements and salary ranges for jobs in targeted areas.

O*NET Interest Profiler Guided Tour

This document provides a guided tour of O*NET’s Interest Profiler.  The document contains step-by-step instructions and screenshots to assist you in identifying occupations that are a good match.

  2. Answer the interest profile questions
  3. Review your results
  4. Select desired job zone (will be explained)
  5. Identify careers that appeal to you

I encourage you to set aside time to take the tour.  I’m sure you’ll find the U. S. Department of Labor’s O*NET tools to be a valuable resource.
